Countryside Inn - Venture Profile


In 1989 base on summer-side people in prince Edward island loss 1200 jobs of the town  the future looked dim . Jo -Anne Schumann decided to open businesses of her own to help give back the jobs to the local people the owner of the gift shop since 1979 Jo- Anne was build an inn that would attract tourists to area and  than in 1990 they build Loyalist  in the country to improve community needed . the local family consider dollars in their own community during grate and create 72 new jobs to be encouraged projects. now the community as whole has readily acknowledged the Loyalist country Inn one of the projects led to recovery of summer-side. Jo-Anne won Canadian woman entrepreneur of the the year on local economy award in 1997.

When jobs are lost.the the new ideas is another benefits to the community that can entrepreneurship often generate new ways of doing things.It encourages the creation of broader range of goods and services than would otherwise exist.

the creation of new jobs ls critical to a community's well-bing because Jo-Anne was able to employ 125 tradespeople to build the loyalist country in and 72 more people more people to operate it ,and when entrepreneurship create jobs in the local community ,it has a multiplier effect.
